Age UK Wiltshire is an independent, local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. They provide a wide variety of services to local people to help keep them informed, remaining independent and staying involved through later life.
The charity provides information and advise on issues relating to older people and those who care for and support them. In particular they can help with:
- Welfare benefits advice for those over retirement age
- Identifying and accessing care and support
- Housing issues and housing options
- Power of Attorney, wills and dealing with an estate
- Leisure activities, local services
- General money advice
The charity’s Fitness & Friendship Clubs provide a great opportunity for older adults to socialise and stay active whilst building social networks and having fun.

Age UK Wiltshire’s Telephone Befriending service offer a free, weekly social telephone call from a friendly Age UK Wiltshire volunteer to older people who are spending long periods on their own at home or who may have caring responsibilities that isolate them from the outside world.
The Meals+ service is available for lunchtime deliveries to your home on every day of the year and has been specifically created for older people living in Wiltshire and Swindon.
