Chippenham Film Club September feature

Proxima stars Eva Green as Sarah, a woman trying to balance work and family life. As she prepares for a year-long stint on the International Space Station, she also tries to prepare her eight-year-old daughter Stella (Zélie Boulant), for life without her.

The film also stars Lars Eidinger as Thomas, her ex-husband and Stella’s father and Matt Dillon as Mike, her colleague. Mike is initially dismissive of her abilities as an astronaut but with his help, and Sandra Huller as Wendy, a psychologist, Sarah and Stella find their way through the complexities of the situation.
