The Corona Monologues – Radio pieces

Sit back, grab a cuppa and listen to seven monologues set during lockdown, performed by Rag and Bone Arts CIC’s adult drama group.

We have produced seven very different short pieces, all around 6-7 minutes long. Listen to them one at a time, or take the whole hour to indulge and work out if there is any link between the characters.

The Corona Monologues were first performed by the group in December over Zoom, none of them had heard one another’s pieces until the night – when their characters were revealed to each other. Now re-recorded with the benefit of that information, we are bringing them to your home.

The pieces dip in to the strange times we are living in and reflect a breadth of different struggles. From loneliness to loss, love and family, masks and supermarkets – we hope that one of these characters will resonate with you in some way and you will comforted, or made to laugh for a moment.
