Dancing is about more than just learning the steps.
We are a community dance group, based in Chippenham. We enjoy all forms and styles of bellydance, and have built up quite a repertoire of routines over the years; some taught to us by experienced bellydance instructors, and others choreographed by members of our group. We also occasionally branch out into other dance genres, and have some particularly beautiful Bollywood, Hula and Samba routines too!
Class is every Tuesday from 7.30-9.30pm. We also put on an annual show (a Hafla, to give it its proper name!) for our family and friends each autumn, and are regularly invited to perform at other local groups’ Haflas, as well as at community and fundraising events (e.g. WI groups, care homes, charity and school fetes). We love any excuse to don a sparkly coin belt and share our dancing!
We welcome people into our group, regardless of experience, ability, age, or size – all you need is enthusiasm and the willingness to have a go. Our group is about more than just learning routines – friendship, support, exercise (of the mind as well as body!) and a bit of ‘me’ time are what we can offer you as well.

Hello Rachel.
I’m interested in Bollywood dance classes but can’t come on a Tuesday evening. Do you have any other classes?
I know there’s a daytime taster class for WI members on 28 Tuesday (not sure if this is you or not) but I have a birthday lunch that day so can’t do that one either!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Sally
